Training module and System Purchasing

Just as I was getting used to creating a blog and a website of my own, these two assignments came up. I wouldn't say that I did not know what hit me, because I would be lying!Its this technology we have to master every day.
Since we are in the Digi-Gen age, these people have to be shown ways of navigating through the library interfaces so they can get what they need in the shortest time. Now, taking them step by step in the necessary library sites also needs to be done in a way that never bores them. For this reason, I have learned that one can take them through a short module using camtasia. Afterall, they learn very fast. I guess learning to produce such modules is the in thing to do now if we really have to catch up and ensure they gain something from us even though we are immigrants in their world. In this training module I made using camtasia, I wanted them to learn the basics of doing searches for books from the library's catalog online. It was not easy to learn for me, but fun.
As for purchasing a library's automation system, one has to evaluate software packages and pick the best for the library. Getting the necessary information from the vendors is not easy if you are a student because they know that you are just doing a research thus not a prospective buyer. So much for information!
